Our New Addition

One thing great about tax season and being a small... very small company is the fact of a nice return. With that I decided to invest some of it back into the business. I have been wanting a new lens and camera for a few months now, especially after doing research and discovering the limitations my current set up created. I got my new Nikkor 24mm-85mm AF 2.8F-4F lens in the mail today. What a way to end a Friday.

Here is a picture of the beauty and also of Tito my first subject with the lens.

Lupus Launch Party 2012

I had the honor of attending the Walk for Lupus Now Kickoff Party for the North Texas Region. It's amazing seeing this wonderful group of women gathering to celebrate life and their fight with Lupus. Check out their site for more information on LUPUS. http://www.lupus.org/newsite/pages/Walk-for-Lupus-Now.htm The walk itself Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Grand Prairie, which I will have the honor once again to take pictures of this extraordinary event and meet some more wonderful people, and maybe make a new friend or two.

Here is some information from their page:
Walk for Lupus Now® is the signature event of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. In more than 70 cities and towns across America thousands of people walk to make a difference in the lives of those affected by lupus and raise essential funds for education, support services, programs and research.

Join us in giving hope to those affected by lupus!
It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans, and 119,000 Texans have a form of lupus. Lupus is a chronic and potentially life-threatening autoimmune disease that can be devastating for people with lupus. No cure or satisfactory treatment exists...For the first time in 52 years, a specific drug for lupus was approved by the FDA in March 2011. There is hope, and with your help we can find a cure for lupus.

I just love the spirit of Christmas and I am absolutely in love with creating memories and traditions with my son. The other day I shared with him one of the traditions I did with my mom every single year. Making CHRISTMAS COOKIES! The whole process makes it an experience worth sharing. It's a way to look like you have been working hard in the kitchen because of the mass amounts of flour that ends up in every crevasse of the kitchen and your finger. We didn't go to the point of icing and decorating the cookies I thought rolling out of dough and cutting out the shapes was enough for this year. Micah enjoyed "pushing" the cutters down on the dough.

And We are Getting Started

What an weekend of accomplishments, not only have I had a blast with my little man, I've updated my webpage, added to my portfolio (which i have a few more things I want to include) and fulfilled all my wifey and mommy duties of the weekend. Now I am starting a blog... I've started one in the past but I didn't get very far with it, in fact I never even made a post! With my new site I had some issues on getting the page to redirect to my blog so I had to start a new one.

In celebration of starting a new blog I am going to share some of my favorite photographs from the past two years. These are ones when I look back on my heart just warms with joy.
